Built by mothers. Powered by community. Open to everyone.
A place where families belong and support each other.
How it Started
Families Talking to Each Other
In 2023, ten mothers from Huron and Coalinga came together through the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) to collect surveys from their neighbors.
What they heard from 450 families made one thing clear: the community needed a place to belong, and they were the ones to build it. That shared vision led them to On the Verge, a year-long leadership program that turned a calling into a plan.

What We Do
Social Connections
Monthly events, cafecitos, and family activities that bring people together and build the trust that makes everything else possible.
Health & Education
Parent University offers classes in English language skills, technology, parenting, workforce certifications, citizenship, and health — designed around what families tell us they need.
Community Engagement
We learn from our community as much as we teach. Families help shape our programming through surveys and focus groups, and our growing volunteer pool keeps the Center running for everyone.
Our Key Partners
We work alongside partners including the California Farmworkers Foundation, Coalinga-Huron Unified School District, S.H. Cowell Foundation, Coalinga Regional Medical Center, On the Verge, and many others to bring resources directly to our community.
